Sun Yingsha wins her third consecutive World Cup gold medal at ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2026 (International Table Tennis Federation).

Chinese superstars Wang Chuqin (Men’s Singles No. 1) and Sun Yingsha (Women’s Singles No. 1) have won the ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup Macao 2026.

This marks the first time Wang has won an ITTF World Cup, after experiencing semifinal exits in both 2024 and 2025. Sun wins her third consecutive Women’s World Cup crown, a feat that no other woman has ever achieved.

Wang took down Japan’s Sora Matsushima (Men’s No. 7) in a Men’s Singles finale that lasted for all seven games (9-11, 18-16, 11-8, 11-13, 8-11, 11-4, 11-8). On his way there, Wang also defeated France’s Felix Lebrun (Men’s No. 6) in the Round of 16, Slovenia’s Darko Jorgic (Men’s No. 13) in the quarterfinals and Brazil’s Hugo Calderano (Men’s No. 3) in the semifinals.

The 25-year-old adds another trophy to his impressive list of accolades, which includes the Men’s World Championships crown he won in 2025. This honor puts Wang one Olympic gold medal away from becoming the 12th player and 6th man to earn a Grand Slam.

Sun defeated compatriot Wang Manyu (Women’s No. 2) 4-1 in the final match of Women’s Singles (11-9, 11-8, 13-11, 8-11, 11-7). She also eliminated compatriot Kuai Man (Women’s No. 4) in the Round of 16, Egypt’s Hana Goda (Women’s No. 22) in the quarterfinals and Germany’s Sabine Winter (Women’s No. 9) in the semifinals.

Sun continues her dominant 2026, having won the WTT Singapore Smash 2026 in March. She recently surpassed 200 weeks as ITTF’s No. 1-ranked player on ITTF’s Women’s Singles list.
