Feng Yi-Hsin and TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau have agreed on a two-year contract extension, the club announced in a press release on Wednesday.
Feng’s new deal will keep him in Grenzau until 2028. This new deal comes near the expiration date of his previous two-year extension, which he signed in Feb. 2024.
“Grenzau has become a special place for me, sporting and personally,” Feng said, per the release. “Here, I have the opportunity to develop myself further and compete in the Table Tennis Bundesliga at the highest level.”
At No. 27, Feng is currently Grenzau’s top-ranked player on the Bundesliga’s official player rankings list. He has an individual record of 9:9 with wins over ASC Grunwettersbach’s Romain Ruiz (No. 11, 11:6), ASC Grunwettersbach’s Hiroto Shinozuka (No. 18, 11:8) and Post SV Muhlhausen’s Marcos Freitas (No. 51, 5:7).
Feng is the No. 52 Men’s Singles player in the world as of this article’s publication, and his list of recent accolades includes a quarterfinal finish at WTT Contender Taiyuan 2025 and a Round of 16 appearance at the ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup Macao 2025.
The 23-year-old from Chinese Taipei earned bronze medals for his performances at the Team World Cup 2024, the ITTF World Youth Championships 2019 and the U19 World Cup 2022, and has won several U19 competitions in his early career.
Feng’s extension comes less than one month after Grenzau announced that Chen Zhibin will succeed Slobodan Grujic as the club’s next head coach starting this summer.
Grenzau locks up its best player on a roster that includes Luka Mladenovic (Bundesliga No. 44), Martin Allegro (No. 58) and Maciej Kubik (No. 75). That roster currently sits at the bottom of the Bundesliga with a 4-12 record and a point differential of 8:24.
Grenzau hopes to snap its five-match losing streak on Sunday, when they face Muhlhausen at 11 a.m. EST for its next match.
