The Bay Area Blasters are adding two free agents ahead of their opening weekend in Alameda County, Major League Table Tennis (MLTT) sources tell Table Tennis TV.

The Blasters have signed free agents Senura Silva and Ved Sheth, who will wear Bay Area’s uniforms for their Week 1 matches. Blasters coach Tim Wang will have the option to keep one of Silva or Sheth following Week 1, or he may look elsewhere to fill his squad’s open roster spot.

Silva represented the Seattle Spinners during Season 2, which was the third stop on an MLTT journey that began with the Princeton Revolution signing him as an undrafted free agent in Season 1. This will be Silva’s second stint with the Blasters, who acquired the former No. 3-ranked MLTT player following his time with the Revolution.

This weekend will be Sheth’s first with MLTT, but the 19-year-old from Fremont, CA, has already built an impressive young career. Sheth was selected to the World University Games 2025, and he used his quick feet to help his team win bronze at the Pan-American Youth Championships in 2022 and 2024.

Silva and Sheth will join a Blasters roster that finished second in the West Division (10-8, 198 points), and third place in the playoffs for the 2024-25 season. They will team up with stars Lily Zhang and Ma Jinbao, 2025 co-MVP Taehyun Kim, three-time Olympian Elsayed Lashin and 2025 sixth overall draft pick Yan Cheng Huang.

The Blasters will begin their 2025-26 season on Sept. 5 against the Texas Smash at 7:30 p.m., and they will also play the Portland Paddlers and Florida Crocs that weekend. Season 3 of MLTT will be streamed live on Table Tennis TV.
