Here are the doubles tournament draws for the WTT Europe Smash 2025

Slovakia's Ľubomír Pištej will face off in the men's doubles tournament alongside Jakub Zelinska, and in the mixed doubles tournament alongside Tatiana Kukulkova (Major League Table Tennis).

World Table Tennis (WTT) revealed the draws for the Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles tournaments for the WTT Europe Smash 2025 on Friday morning.

The top eight seeds in each tournament received byes in the first round and will automatically advance to the Round of 16. The list of seeded doubles players includes many of the world’s tandems in the world, most notably China’s mixed doubles pairing of Lin Shidong and Kuai Man, the top-ranked duo in the world.

Korean duos dominate the list of seeded doubles pairings. Some of their notable tandems automatically advancing to the Round of 16 include Lim Jonghoon and An Jaehyun (Men’s No. 2), Lim and Shin Yubin (Mixed No. 2), and Korea’s Ryu Hanna and Kim Nayeong (Women’s No. 4).

Other notable duos advancing to the second round include WTT Contender Buenos Aires 2025 Mixed Doubles winners Hugo Calderano and Bruna Takahashi (Mixed No. 10), and the highest-ranked men’s duo in Chinese Taipei, Lin Yun-ju and Kao Cheng-Jui (Men’s No. 4).

The highest-ranked pairing of any tournament category to play in this tournament is Chinese Taipei’s duo of Lin Yun-Ju and Cheng I-Ching (Mixed No. 14), who will face Izaac Quek and Ng Wing Lam (Mixed No. 435). Other Top-20 duos that will have to fight for a second round spot include Sweden’s Kristian Karlsson and Mattias Falck (Men’s No. 17), Egypt’s Youssef Abdelaziz and Mariam Alhodaby (Mixed No. 18), and Slovakia’s Ľubomír Pištej and Tatiana Kukulkova (Mixed No. 19).

Karlsson and Falck will face off in a clash against fellow Swedes Truls Moregard and Anton Kallberg (Men’s No. 22) in a thrilling first round match in their home country. The winner of that match will face the Korean juggernaut of An and Lim.

Sweden leads all countries in WTT Europe Smash 2025 doubles participants with 20 players across the three events. Sweden leads each country in individual event participants, with six playing in men’s doubles, six in women’s doubles, and eight in mixed doubles.

The WTT Europe Smash will continue until Aug. 24, and matches will take place at Malmö Arena in Malmö, Sweden. The prize money is $1.55 million in United States dollars.
