The European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) announced the draw for the qualification stage of the ETTU Europe Top 16 Cup Montreux 2026 on Wednesday.

The qualification stage will consist of the eight men and eight women who did not automatically advance to this year’s main draw. Two tournaments will take place on Thursday, one for Men’s Singles and another for Women’s Singles, which will determine the main draw’s final two spots for each gender.

Each of these tournaments will be divided into two four-player groups, with the winner of each group advancing to the main draw.

The winner of each of the following matches will face the other winner in their group, and the winner of that second match will advance to the main draw:

  • No. 17 Andrei Gaćina (Croatia) vs. No. 21 Iulian Chirita (Romania)
  • No. 19 Daniel Habesohn (Austria) vs. No. 16 Tomislav Pucar (Croatia)
