ITTF is celebrating its 100th anniversary of the World Championships in 2026 (World Table Tennis).
The draw ceremony for the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026 took place on Monday.
The ceremony decided the groups for both the Men’s and Women’s events at this year’s World Team Table Tennis Championships. In this ceremony, the 64 teams that qualified for each event were divided into 16 groups of four teams heading into Stages 1A and 1B.
Stage 1A consists of the top seven seeds in each event, as well as the host country, England. Each of these teams will automatically advance to the Round of 32, regardless of their results.
The remaining 56 teams in each event will compete in Stage 1B, with the winner of each event progressing to the Main Draw. The six best second-place teams will join the winners in the Main Draw, as will four other teams that emerge from a four-match knockout round.
Felix Lebrun of France, the Men's Group 2 leader (World Table Tennis).
