South Korean superstar An Jaehyun has declared for the Season 4 Major League Table Tennis (MLTT) Draft, league sources tell Table Tennis TV.

An is the No. 22 Men’s Singles player in the world, which is the highest current ranking of any player expected to compete in MLTT next season. The 26-year-old right-hander achieved his career-best ranking of No. 13 on Oct. 21, 2025 (Week 43).

An is a two-time Asian Champion, a two-time World Cup silver medalist and a three-time World Championships bronze medalist. He represented South Korea in the 2024 Paris Olympics, finishing in fourth place in the Men’s Team event.

An has an all-time record of 354 wins and 174 losses (67%) in 530 ITTF and WTT matches. That record includes wins against Tomokazu Harimoto (Men’s Singles No. 3), Felix Lebrun (No. 4) and Dimitrij Ovtcharov (No. 24) within the past year.

An was a quarterfinalist at the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals Doha 2025, WTT Europe Smash 2025 and WTT Championships Yokohama 2025. He also competed in WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, and he will represent fifth-seeded South Korea in the upcoming ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026.

An is one half of ITTF’s No. 4 Men’s Doubles pair alongside countryman Lim Jonghoon. An and Lim won the Men’s Doubles events at WTT United States Smash 2025 and WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2025, and they reached the quarterfinals of WTT Europe Smash 2025.

The Atlanta Blazers are expected to consider selecting An with the No. 1 overall pick in the Season 4 MLTT Draft. If that happens, An will join first-year MLTT head coach Koji Itagaki on a Blazers roster led by Yuya Oshima (SPINDEX: 2779) and Kayama Yu (2804).

If the Blazers do not select An with the first pick, the Texas Smash will have the opportunity to choose him second overall. The Florida Crocs, Bay Area Blasters and Los Angeles Spinners round out the remainder of the top five in that order.

MLTT is the only professional table tennis league that assigns incoming players to teams via the draft. The MLTT Draft takes heavy inspiration from other sports leagues based in the United States, such as the National Football League (NFL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA).

An’s MLTT destination, along with Quadri Aruna’s and Takuya Jin’s, will be revealed when the Season 4 MLTT Draft takes place on April 30.
